The best answer for the last mile of lidar - StarScan

As a company that has been deeply involved in the laser radar field for 20 years, Surestar has been thinking about how to solve the "last mile" problem in the laser radar field, without GPS signals. How to achieve efficient and accurate measurement in a narrow space environment. After Surestar's unremitting efforts in research and development and independent innovation, the portable handheld lidar system-StarScan turned out.

StarScan

The StarScan lidar system has a core 3D ranging of 200m, a scanning field of view of 360°x30°, a pulse frequency of 320,000 dots per second, and a work area of 5000m². From data acquisition to data processing, it only takes 10 minutes for scouts It's done. The factory default storage of the product is 256GB, which can meet the storage requirements of up to 68 hours of work data, and supports expansion of storage to 1TB.

StarScan adopts a new high-precision SLAM algorithm, which can accurately match point clouds without GPS signals, and can obtain high-precision, high-density point cloud data in complex scenes such as underground, outdoor, and woods, and achieve perfection The closure. In long-distance linear measurement environments such as narrow tunnels and culverts, the SLAM algorithm also has a very good performance, even in some environments where there is no obvious feature point matching, to complete the work.

On the basis of such excellent performance, as a portable product, StarScan can ensure the normal operation of surveying and mapping operations with centimeter-level accuracy at a moving speed of two meters per second. And in terms of product environmental adaptability, Surestar has also made great efforts. StarScan has the ability to operate normally in the temperature range of -25C° to 55C°, and achieves an IP54 dustproof and waterproof level. Meet the needs of use in special environments such as light rain, heavy fog, and seaside. At the same time, the product has undergone a large number of drop and impact tests. Even if it is accidentally removed during use, StarScan can still work normally.

Finally, as a handheld device, Surestar has also made great efforts in the experience of using StarScan. The total weight of the product is less than 1.3kg, and the ergonomic design of the grip can ensure good comfort. In addition, the one-button start mechanism and standardized replaceable battery module design provide convenience for long-term continuous use.

Mini Airborne LIDAR System without Short Board - Magic

After the launch of Surestar's first airborne lidar system Genius in 2018, it quickly led the outbreak of the domestic micro drone-borne lidar market. Everyone has gone from suspicion to slow attempts to recognition of miniature lidar. Now the airborne surveying and mapping lidar market has entered a more mature stage, with more and more applications and increasingly fierce market competition.

Surestar is always thinking about this process, what should our next miniature lidar look like?

In the end, we chose to make a laser radar that can meet all the pain points of customers at the same time without any shortcomings-the magic/magic pro (dual camera version) micro drone-borne laser radar came into being.

magic pro

At the beginning of the design, Magic was positioned as "a powerful, 360° miniature lidar with no shortcomings", thanks to the high-quality laser scanning head and high-end POS system, Magic has achieved an elevation accuracy of 5cm, a maximum operating height of 200m and an effective point density of 200/m² for a single flight belt. Whether it is 1:500 topographic surveying and mapping, or various tasks in power inspections, Magic can do it perfectly.

Magic pro's 100° ultra-wide field of view to the ground and 265kHz 100% effective to the field frequency, can calmly respond to the needs of various channel inspection operations, with the equipped 48 million pixel dual camera system, not only can achieve laser data and images The synchronous acquisition of data can also plan the route reasonably according to the specific needs of the operation, and simultaneously establish a highly detailed and reductive tilt model.

At present, magic can be perfectly adapted to the Arowana small vertical fixed-wing UAV and the full range of DJI UAV products. Magic continues the light and small strategy of Surestar, even the magic pro system equipped with a dual camera system, the weight is controlled within 1.25kg, with a small rotor drone, the total weight is even less than 7KG, and it has the advantage of loose air transportation worldwide.

At the same time, the entire system is designed in accordance with military-grade standards, the laser scanning head has reached the industrial protection level of IP69K. In addition, the software part supports global base station-free calculations. Magic can perform surveying and mapping operations anytime and anywhere in various environments and quickly obtain high-precision post-processing data.

Fully localized image-level ultra-high-resolution solid-state lidar - C-Fans-256

In the L4 level of unmanned driving, the use of lidar has basically become a consensus in the entire industry, but many people in the industry, including "Silicon Valley Iron Man" Musk, have always been on DISS lidar. Regardless of commercial and publicity considerations, most of the lidars on the market have poor resolution and frame rate and are expensive, which is also a reason that cannot be ignored.

Surestar has benefited from 21 years of rich accumulation in the laser radar industry, in this spring, we brought you a lidar product that not only has excellent performance, high reliability, low power consumption, but also no longer costly —— C-Fans-256 image-level ultra-high-resolution solid-state lidar.

C-Fans-256

C-Fans-256 has a resolution of 0.1°x0.1°, and it can still capture 30 points for a white SUV 200m away. In terms of small obstacle detection, C-Fans-256 can accurately capture a 20cm cube obstacle at a distance of 57m. The omni-directional scanning field of view of C-Fans-256 can provide a wide field of vision in difficult scenes such as unprotected left-turning, etc., so as to take care of vehicles or pedestrians on the right. The ultra-high frame rate of the sports camera allows it to quickly capture abnormal events, while the fine grayscale recognition provides powerful lane line perception.

C-Fans-256 provides development documents for Windows, ROS, Apollo, Ubuntu and other system platforms in the SDK package. Users only need about 4 hours to learn the SDK secondary development of this product.

In addition to excellent parameters and convenient SDK support, C-Fans-256 also achieves low power consumption of less than 16W and high vehicle compliance with a total of 31 tests of 9 categories in ISO16750. Behind the high performance, low power consumption, and compliance with vehicle regulations, C-Fans-256 is still a fully localized product. So far, Surestar has independently developed 24 laser radar chips, and has a large number of authorized patents, application patents and PCP international patents. In addition, Surestar has also won the special prize of the National Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Progress Award. (www.isurestar.net)
